The extracts are chiefly from the “Arcadia”. A note (p. ii) says: “It is proposed to issue a second volume (of extracts) later on.” In the fifties MacDonald lectured on Sidney, his wife copying out passages for him (Greville MacDonald’s “ George MacDonald “).
