David Jack is translating the novels that contain Scots dialect in unabridged editions featuring parallel columns for MacDonald’s original Scots side-by-side with Jack’s English translation.
The Room to Roam website features a blog with additional resources for MacDonald readers such as a list of altered titles that have been used by publishers of abridged versions keyed to the standard titles to help readers find the original versions.
